Cosmetic Nasal Surgery
(Rhinoplasty)

Rhinoplasty is one of the most common procedures performed by facial plastic surgeons. There are many different philosophies and approaches to this surgery. Our goal is to present you with different options using imaging and facial analysis to achieve your desired outcome.

In our clinical assessment, we begin by evaluating your nose, and how it relates to other facial features, like the projection of the chin. Using imaging, this allows us to help you better visualize our facial analysis process. Then, we complete an internal nasal examination to better understand the position of the septum, a key to understanding your nasal function. Once this is completed, we begin to look at various nasal cosmetic issues like bulbosity of the tip, over projection of the dorsum, the relative rotation of the tip, and the relative take off of the nose from the forehead. We also make a careful assessment of the relationship of the nose to the upper teeth, jaw, and lips.

After a thorough discussion with you, we then present the best surgical option to achieve your desired outcome. This includes a variety of closed rhinoplasty techniques as well as open structure rhinoplasty. Our surgical technique also focuses on helping insure proper function of the nasal valve, such that your nasal function is not effected by the cosmetic changes.
